NINTENDO SWITCH VS PLAYSTATION 4 VS XBOX ONE


Can Nintendo really compete with Sony and Microsoft?
Nintendo recently revealed their brand-new Nintendo Switch console which does look mighty impressive, but can it really complete with the other current generation consoles? Quite simple put it, no. 
Nintendo have always struggled to sell enough units to compete against Sony and Microsoft when new consoles are released and it's probably going to be exactly the same when the Nintendo Switch releases. Nintendo's new console focuses more on social game (as they always have) and have had to sacrifice power, which in the world of console gaming, is generally a bad thing. These days players want almost real-life graphics that require massive amounts of power and the Switch won't have that. Although it's been confirmed that the Switch will support AAA titles, we really can't see some of the massive games out there such as the recently released Battlefield 1 coming to the Switch.

One of the biggest concerns at the moment though, is price. Nintendo as of yet haven't even hinted at what the Nintendo Switch's price will be, but many people believe that the $250 mark seems like a good guess. $250 however, could buy you an Xbox One or PlayStation 4 these days in some sales. 
We really do hope Nintendo's Switch does sell a lot of units, because the console looks awesome, but there is no way it will compete with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Need for Speed Payback will release this November

Ghost Games' newest NFS instalment targets casino cartels Following a tease yesterday, EA and Ghost Games has lifted the veil on its forthcoming Need for Speed game. As it turns out, Need for Speed Payback will release on November 10 and will feature, according to EA, "blockbuster gameplay never before seen from the series".  As is increasingly the case with Need For Speed games, there will be a narrative involved, which promises to be "gripping" and full of betrayal and revenge. The focus has moved somewhat away from winning races and more towards fulfilling the person-with-an-expensive-hotted-up-car fantasy, via customization both cosmetic and mechanical. Resident Evil 6 – worth a quid

A reader celebrates how easy it is to buy video games for virtually nothing, so that even the most cash-strapped gamer can keep playing. Gamers rejoice! Recently for personal, boring, non-gaming reasons I have been slightly short on cash. In the past, a time such as this would have spelt the end, or at least temporary postponement, of my gaming obsession. This situation has hammered home to me the fact that, as gamers, we are lucky to be alive ‘n’ gaming in 2017. This weekend I have picked up Metro: Last Light for £2 (CeX… sorry), Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow for £1, and Resident Evil 6 for £1 – the last two from a car boot sale (all for Xbox 360). I know Resident Evil 6 has it’s many disappointed customers, but for a quid? Surely, I will squeeze out 100 pennies worth of enjoyment?! So far I have dipped into Castlevania.
